About Fugro Geolab Nor
Geolab Nor was established in 1984 in Trondheim, Norway and has since then been supplying routine geochemical and specialised consultancy services (based on organic geochemical analyses) to the petroleum industry. In 2008, Geolab Nor became part of the Fugro Group of Companies. The core area of operation remains petroleum geochemistry and related methods and instruments development. We are diversified into supplying environmental analyses. We provide as well complete surface geochemical analysis programs.
Being an ISO-9001 certified company, we are capable of supplying analytical data of highest quality at competitive rates to a world-wide market. We have worked on hundreds of medium- and large-scale regional projects from the North Sea, Russia/FSU, SE Asia, West Africa and the Middle East. In addition to our home base in Norway, we have strategic alliances with several key organisations in various countries, which makes it possible to cater for customised services at low costs. Through such networking, we can offer complete packages on analyses, interpretation of basin evaluation, basin modelling, prospect evaluation and production management.
Each project is designed to meet the client’s needs and specifications, and has a dedicated Project Manager, which allows a single-window contact. Our professional staff, some with more than 20 years experience in the industry, are dedicated to giving clients rapid, but accurate and professional guidance and reports.
Quality Assurance
We have a well-implemented QA system, and all aspects of our procedures for project management, analyses and reporting have been certified to the requirements of the ISO 9001 Standard by Bureau Veritas Quality international since 1995.
We have been an active member of the committee for NIGOGA (Norwegian Industry Guide for Organic Geochemical Analyses) since 1983. This organization, involving the major Norwegian operators and service laboratories, is dedicated to developing standard methods of practice for geochemical analyses in the petroleum sector. For example, we have been heavily involved with the development of analytical protocols and the testing/justification of standard reference materials for both rock and oil analyses.
