As part of our positioning services, Fugro Survey AS are proficient in the operation of modern acoustic positioning systems. In connection with these services, we offer two modules as part of the Starfix Software Suite - Starfix.Acoustics & Starfix.USBL.

Starfix.Acoustics - This is a package written and supported by Sonardyne but with propriatory modifications reserved for the use of Fugro Survey. The pack supports all the Sonardyne LBL equipment including the latest in technology - Fusion Wideband. Some of the key functionality is:

• Full integration with other Starfix software products including Starfix. Seis and Starfix.Nav.
• Wizard driven calibration process for both baseline and box-in calibrations. The operator is given full control to access during calibration processing.
• Computation of LBL based positions which are transferred in the background to other Starfix modules.
• Full data logging for processing and data anlysis.
• Transfer of densor data (gyro, motion sensor, velocity probe, inclinometer, digiquartz etc.) from the Compatts to other Starfix modules.

Starfix.USBL - This module interfaces to the Kongsberg-Simrad HiPAP 500  (and earlier HPR) and the Sonardyne Fusion USBL systems. In this module data from the USBL systems are integrated with surface positioning data to provide precise subsea positioning. Some of the key functionality is:

• Full USBL Calibration Routines.
• Position computations which are transferred in the background to other Starfix Modules.
• Full data logging for processing and data anlysis.
