Since Fugro RUE was established in 1993 (the company was RUE until 2011), the company has undertaken a wide range of subsea service operations.
Today we supply complete offshore diving and ROV operations in addition to inshore and near-shore diving, engineering and vessel operations.
When Fugro RUE was established in 1993, it was as a subcontractor providing inshore/near-shore diving and subsea engineering services.
In 1999 the company was restructured in order do you mean ‘to carry out the full range of contractual subsea engineering and operations assignments Since 2000 to date Fugro RUE has been the largest supplier of IMR and construction air diving to Statoil, inshore and near-shore.
Fugro RUE started working offshore West Africa in 2005. The first contract was IMR air diving and topside services for Shell in Nigeria. Since then Fugro RUE has successfully executed subsea service projects in West Africa for clients including, but not limited to, ExxonMobil, Shell, Addax, Perenco and Acergy.
In 2006 Fugro RUE was further developed by strengthening the company equity. An order was placed for its first new build, the MPSV Atlantis Dweller, which was delivered in 2009. Another MPSV, Viking Forcados, has been operated by Fugro RUE since 2005 and on bareboat to Fugro RUE since 2009.
